Our Service Scholarship provides an accessible pathway to sustainable careers in technology for veterans and military spouses.
General Assembly (GA) and The Adecco Group US Foundation joined forces four years ago to invest in military spouses and veterans. The Service Scholarship provides a path towards a career in STEM that’s flexible enough to accommodate relocation through remote work, while also helping program participants build a keen digital skillset.
Life paths that require frequent relocation can make it hard to sustain a long-term career – a challenge that often leads to underemployment – especially for military spouses. Between the rigid demands of military service and lack of childcare, many spouses have had to forgo a professional career. We’re here to help!
How does it work?
Eligible programs include any part-time course offered through General Assembly, one of the world’s largest technology skills training providers. Most courses encompass 40-60 hours of instruction, spread across 10 weeks, and all are conducted in a live-instruction, remote format.
