Military Alliance Reskilling Initiative

Providing Military Spouses IT Career Opportunities

With military spouse unemployment hovering around 21%, we wanted to create an education program to provide military spouses with a new IT skillset, remote-based jobs, and a new community of support. As a result, in 2022 The Adecco Group US Foundation partnered with Akkodis Academy to launch the Military Alliance Reskilling Initiative.
This reskilling program provides military spouses with a solid foundation in the IT industry through:

  • 12-week online training program with easy-to-follow recommended weekly curriculum
  • Live, bi-weekly career-development workshops led by Adecco Group experts
  • CompTIA+ certification and exam fees courtesy of the Foundation
  • Bi-weekly, one-on-one mentorship check-in calls
  • Weekly study group sessions led by program alumni

Matched with a recruiter for resume reviews and job placement support

Reskilling can provide military spouses a path to higher-paying, remote jobs that promote career mobility and financial independence. Plus, what makes this program truly unique is we have created an intentional, high-touch, community-based network to help support you every step of the way!

100 military spouses have been upskilled through the program. 90% of students pass the Comp Tia A+ exams and become certified.

We will offer two cohorts per year for the reskilling initiative. Be sure to follow The Adecco Group US Foundation on social media, and our military alliance maven, Rachelle Chapman on LinkedIn to learn more.
